So we headed for the airport in the afternoon around 2 (i think)... Got onto the plane (China Air... damn the vibration)... After 4 and a half hours lidat, we reached TAIWAN!! Was already quite late (around 7) got on the bus and headed to the airport... It was quite a scary experience sitting on the bus cos the trafic was the other way round... i was sitting on the left side of the bus and was really shocked to see other cars overtaking from the left side of the road... i was like
"What the heck?? Why r u guys overtaking on the left??"
Then after awhile, i realised that in Taiwan they drive on the wrong side of the road... And start banging my head against the window...We reached the hotel (an ordinary one, not like the ones u find n Penang), checked in and walked to a nearby 'pasar malam' (Taiwanese actually know what is pasar malam!!<<--my bus driver used this phrase), and had chicken mee for dinner... This experience was quite scary because it's not like here where everyhting is fresh n warm, the chicken was cooked, but kept with blocks of ice... wierd... but it tasted OK... So after dinner we headed back to the hotel n SLEEP...
The next day, we woke up at 7 and ate breakfast in the hotel (breakfast is free but i'd rather go without it... u'll understand by the end of this post)... Then we met with our tourguide (not very pleasant), boarded the bus, tourguide gave long lecture (one beginning with "i don't speak English") and continued our journey to godknowswhere... At godknowswhere, the first place we visited was the coast (i think... whatever)... Then reached Taitung (East) where we ended the day with a cultural dance by a tribe of aborigins...
On the third day, we went up a hill (the only place which was really cold in the middle of December in Taiwan)... The view was fascinating and the air was breathtaking... haha... Took a few pictures then we left that place to look at a bunch of gorges, headed to a small town n into a temple (the architecture was impressive but...)
